Emma Smith is General Manager at Stamford Bridge Beaumont.
Hi, my name is Emma and I am the General Manager here at Stamford Bridge. Welcome to our website! I have been working for Barchester since 2015. I qualified as a general nurse in 2004, and have worked as a nurse within the local community and hospitals in the area, and I am passionate about delivering the highest quality of care to those we support. There's never a dull day!
I consider myself to be extremely privileged to work with such wonderful people, full of humour with wonderful stories to tell. I know it’s a cliché, but we are like one big happy family—I love being here! I am lucky to be supported by a fantastic team that demonstrate a nurturing warm and compassionate approach. The homes core objective is to promote a quality ethos centred person centred care, enabling and giving peace of mind to everyone we come into contact with.
Here at Stamford Bridge Beaumont, we provide a range of accommodation and services, including 24-hour nursing, luxury residential and specialist dementia care in our bespoke Memory Lane Community. We also offer respite and short-breaks for when you or a caring relative need a break from day-to-day life.
Our home is a socially active community that resolves around superb facilities alongside first rate care. As a Georgian listed building, the home has been specially renovated with the people we care for in mind. Our activities coordinators are dedicated to ensuring every resident is entertained and involved. Our extensive events calendar includes pet therapy, day-trips, visiting entertainment, bingo and quizzes, to name just a few.
We are conveniently situated within the beautiful village of Stamford Bridge, yet are still within seven miles of the city of York. We are always happy to show visitors around, so please drop in and see Stamford Bridge Beaumont for yourself. We think you’ll find that we’re ideally suited to meet your needs now and in the future.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
