What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Gold Care Homes remains committed to ensuring all of our residents, loved ones, and hardworking members of staff are protected against the COVID-19 pandemic. All Gold Care Homes’ homes completed their second round of vaccinations. Our care homes have now begun the process of offering the booster vaccine to all residents.

The legislation makes vaccination mandatory for anyone who works in a care home, whatever their role. All care home residents will now be required to nominate up to 3 visitors who can enter the care home for regular visits. Visits must still be pre-booked, and visitors must test negative for COVID-19 at the start of the visit.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

Maintaining physical and mental health is important at every stage of life. A dedicated Activities Coordinator at Sycamore Court creates a daily activity programme in conjunction with residents' requests and personal areas of interest. These can be scheduled throughout the day to encourage participation and create a fun family environment.

Independent activities, hobbies, and day-to-day tasks can boost an individual’s self-confidence. As part of our person-centred care at the home, we adapt this to each individual. Our home takes pride in arranging special activities, including birthdays or personal milestones, religious celebrations, national days of celebration, and events.

Perhaps the best way to experience daily life at this highly-rated Brighton care home is to book a personal visit.
