Lacey Patterson is Registered Manager at Amber Wood.

I have been in social care for over 10 years, I started as a care assistant and have worked my way up through various roles from Nursing care to residential and domiciliary care. I couldn’t imagine doing anything, helping people, and wanting to be able to make a difference to people is something I always knew I wanted to do. There is no more of a rewarding role.

The households are individually decorated to aid orientation and wayfinding; they have a domestic style layout with an open plan kitchen where customers are encouraged to engage in meal preparation and cooking. Each of the households has access to outdoor space and with multiple communal spaces; customers can engage in group activities or pursue their own interests in the smaller communal areas or their own private rooms.
