Meet The Manager

Terri Tipper is Registered Manager at Amber Wood.

I started in social care from leaving school as a care assistant and have progressed through different positions to a manager. I have experience of working in nursing homes, residential and dementia homes, community care and learning disabilities. I enjoy ensuring the residents receive good quality person centred care by developing the team around me.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

The health and safety of our residents is our priority. We have safety measures in place which are regularly reviewed in line with public health authorities and regulators to ensure our schemes offer a safe place to live. We work to government guidance to create a safe environment, this includes having good supplies of PPE, regular staff and customer testing and robust infection control measures.

We also place significant importance on keeping residents connected with loved ones and their community. At the end of 2020, we were awarded the title of highly commended for one of our Caring in Covid stories included in a new ebook produced by the leading membership association for not-for-profit social care providers.

Our staff all wear required PPE and take 2 LFD tests and one PCR test once a week. Residents are tested monthly with LFD and PCR more so if we have a positive case (LFD every day for staff once a week for residents). All staff are infection controlled trained. We have a visitor pod and visitors must wear PPE and take LFD test before visiting.
