Georgina Braithewaite is Manager at Tallis House.
I began my career with Runwood homes in 2009. I started as a carer in Tallis House, care team leader, deputy manager and now I’m a home manager. My ethos in my role is that with great teamwork, we can achieve anything for our residents and their families, and all our staff members contributes to the success of our home. Our residents are at the centre of everything we do at Tallis House.
Tallis House is a 101 bed care home situated in Waltham Abbey, Essex. This spacious home provides expert care for older people, including those living with dementia.

We regularly keep our guidance under review, taking account of new guidance or when we are made aware of risks in any specific geographical area. Our Home Managers and regional teams work closely with a range of stakeholders, continually assessing risks to our Residents, your loved ones. We reserve the right to change, cancel or suspend visiting at short notice if required or advised to do so. At all times, we ask that our control measures are respected for the benefit of all loved ones, other families and our staff. |

We strive to create a homely environment at Tallis House and we provide all the comforts of good food, good company and friendly staff, in a calm and restful atmosphere. All of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished with en-suite bathroom facilities and TV. The home also has excellent amenities, including comfortable lounges in which residents can relax. In addition we have a dedicated area for dementia care, designed to enable those we care for to maintain their independence in a safe environment. |

We take pride in our activities programme, and you will have the option to join in organised activities if you wish to do so. Our activity coordinators seek out and listen to residents who may have hobbies or pastimes, in addition to arranging a whole variety of activities and entertainment to stimulate all residents. Our activity programme ensures that residents remain stimulated and engaged and our activity coordinators take into account resident’s hobbies, needs and interests. The activities at Tallis House are varied and, alongside enjoying themselves, residents can receive a wide range of health and fitness benefits from taking part. In addition, the home has strong connections with the local community, specifically the local church and school. |
