Meet The Manager

Katy Hughes is Home Manager at Amberley Hall Care Home.

Katy Hughes has worked in care since she was a teenager, coming home from her first day as a carer at a home for elderly people and telling her mum she had found exactly what she wanted to do. She went on to manage her first residential care home aged just 25.

Katy brings a wealth of care sector experience with her to Amberley Hall and has worked since 1997 for various companies, with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour as well as those living with dementia, including early onset dementia.

Having heard positive things about Athena Care Homes, Katy is enjoying getting to know the team, the residents and their families at Amberley Hall. She sees good things ahead for Amberley Hall where work and support are ongoing. It’s a home where there is always something going on with a wide range of activities for the residents to enjoy.
