Emma Weston is Home Manager at The Ashton Care Home.
I grew up and studied in Leicestershire, and although I lived in Wales for a time and later in Nottingham for many years, it’s great to be back to my roots and especially in being welcomed here at The Ashton last year. I qualified as a nurse back in 2002, having previously worked as a carer for 8 years from the age of 17. I have over 28 years of experience working in the NHS and the health and social care sector. In my own time, I enjoy reading, cooking, travel, and spending time with my family. I am passionate about lifelong learning, open communication, dignity, having fun, being kind, developing teams, and ensuring the care residents receive is personalised and tailored to their specific needs and preferences. I am a great believer in community, and I cannot see myself doing anything else, it’s wonderful to be part of The Ashton family. My door is always open.
The Ashton Care Home is located in the Leicestershire town of Hinckley, where residents can enjoy the perfect combination of city and country life. Our home, located in the ‘heart of England,’ allows residents to create a lifestyle that suits them, whether they want calm country park walks or cultural activities..

---|---|---|
In line with recent Government recommendations effective from April 2022, care homes in England no longer have restrictions as to the numbers of visits per resident though we ask that you make arrangements in advance of your visit to ensure safe visiting practices can be maintained. LFT testing is no longer mandatory, though to protect the safety and wellbeing of our residents and teams, we would appreciate your support in continuing to do so. Appropriate guidance for using PPE must be followed whilst visiting. |
