Steve Winter is The Home Manager at The Chiswick Nursing Centre.
Steve has worked in public, charitable and private sector healthcare in senior management and operational roles for more than 25 years. His most recent appointment was as Group Operations Director at an award-winning nursing and care home company specialising in elderly and dementia care. He is a professional change manager and speaks regularly at international conferences and workshops on this topic. Steve’s day-to-day job is to ensure the delivery of consistently high quality and person-centred care for everyone either staying or living at the Chiswick Nursing Centre.
The Chiswick Nursing Centre is friendly and welcoming, providing the kindest possible care in a wonderfully comfortable setting. Whether it’s short-term and respite care, rehabilitation, convalescence or residential care, you can rest assured that your loved ones are in the safest hands.
The Chiswick Nursing Centre provides a warm and welcoming environment for older people and for those who are too frail or ill to continue living in their own home
We work hard to provide both nursing care and support alongside independent living and choice. With that in mind, we achieve a good balance of intervention alongside independence and privacy. Regular and varied activities ensure fun and sociability in our family-orientated home from home.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.
What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
The wellbeing and safety of our residents and staff is at the heart of everything that we do at the Chiswick Nursing Centre and our infection control measures are robust to prevent the risk of transmission. The Chiswick has adopted whole home testing and resident self-isolation on admission. We have abundant supplies of PPE for all staff and visitors. Lateral Flow Testing (LFT Tests) for Covid-19 have been introduced in the fight to ensure that visits to our residents can be made as safely as possible. We are PCR testing staff and residents twice weekly to aid infection control. We have taken these steps in order to reassure our residents and their loved ones along with our staff. |
Infection Control Initiatives in place | ||
---|---|---|
Virus Testing | We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting. |
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |
---|
Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
