Meet The Manager

Carmen Miclea is Home Manager at The Grange.

Carmen Adriana Miclea In 2007, I embarked on a journey to the UK after completing a four-year college program and earning a nurse diploma in my hometown in Romania. My primary goal was to expand my knowledge, enhance my skills, and strive for personal growth.
Driven by an enduring passion for care, my life's purpose has always been centred around learning and aiding others. Over the last 14 years, I've dedicated myself to achieving various qualifications in Health and Social Care for adults, as well as in childcare.
In addition to my professional endeavours, I proudly serve as a Mental Health, Safeguarding, Curriculum, and Parent school governor, contributing to the National Governance Association (NGA). As a member of the NGA, I actively engage with the governance, trustee, and clerical aspects of state schools in England.

We believe your life at The Grange Care Home, in Darlington, should include the best care, the best of life and the best environment.

All our residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Our person-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved – and often the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy.

As part of our Darlington-based community, our residents can help themselves to drinks and snacks, help out in the garden and other hobbies and exercise their usual routines which enable residents to make their lives theirs.

The facilities at The Grange allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that keep them independent, including having their weekly hair and nail appointment or catching up with family and friends.
