Meet The Manager

Simon Paul is Home Manager at The Hazelwell.

Simon is the Home Manager at the Hazelwell Care Home and brings a wealth of experience having worked in healthcare for over twenty years having started as a Care Assistant in a nursing home. He then completed his nurse training and has worked across a variety of settings within the NHS for around 15 years; from surgical wards to intensive care, via theatre and then as a nurse specialist.  

Simon then returned to care homes in 2019 and has held roles of Deputy Manager and Home Manager before joining the Hazelwell.  Simon is most passionate about delivering high quality care whilst ensuring that the residents have an environment that is both homely and welcoming for their friends and families.

The Hazelwell Care Home is a stunning all-inclusive 55-bed care facility that offers residents high-quality nursing, residential, dementia, and respite care, as well as a luxurious lifestyle.

The Hazelwell Care Home is located in Heswall, Wirral, which is situated between the River Dee and the River Mersey. Our home has been constructed with our residents in mind, with modern amenities such as an impressive hairdressing & beauty salon, roof terrace, and a number of lounges and private dining rooms.

It’s essential that our all-inclusive home at The Hazelwell not only allows us to deliver the individualised care that our residents need, but also provides them with a comfortable yet elegant setting to call their own.

All 55 of our en-suite bedrooms here at The Hazelwell Care Home have been created with the perfect mix of luxury and accessibility. Designed to make each and every resident feel comfortable and as though they are living home-away-from-home, all suites are fully furnished with the option to personalise the rooms as little or as much as desired.

We strive to make everything as straight-forward as possible where residents are able to consistently receive the very best care, and most importantly, live the most comfortable lives possible. All rooms come with fantastic, state-of-the-art en-suite facilities and spacious layouts so each room is accessible to everyone. Each en-suite room has been fitted to the highest standards and feature specialised equipment including nurse call systems, smoke detectors, and temperature controlled central heating, in addition to either a standard or specialist nursing bed.

Activities Are So Important

The Hazelwell Care Home believes in the importance of being creative through various means and (more importantly) getting our hands dirty. Our wellbeing coordinators aim to encourage each and every one of our residents to let their creative juices flow, whether they love to paint as a way of relaxing or attempting to make something they’ve never made before. We provide a variety of supplies for our residents to use in order to make their masterpieces, so they don’t have to worry about anything.
