Meet The Manager

Angela McArd is General Manager at The Manor House Care Home.

The Manor House welcomes people for a wide range of care, whether for a short stay or coming to live among us. We even offer day care, so people can come for a bit of socialising, a delicious meal and some pampering.

The original Grade-II listed mansion has been attractively extended. The older part has fabulous sweeping staircases, wood panelling and ornate ceilings, but the comfort and care is the same wherever you go.

Residents can enjoy their meals in our elegant dining room with its floor to ceiling windows. Then they can have their coffee in a comfy chair by a fireplace, to the gentle ticking of a grandfather clock.

The Manor House is working within the government guidelines to help protect its staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

With flower arranging, baking, and arts and crafts, there is always something for the residents to enjoy.
We hold regular talks on local history, a film club, and musical entertainment to keep our residents’ minds active.
We happily take residents out on trips to the seaside or the zoo.

Our lounge has a cinema screen where we show movies – family and friends are welcome to come and join us.

There are lots of ways to enjoy the grounds - residents can go for walks on the rolling lawns, sit and enjoy the large terrace, or make use of the bowling and putting green. There is also a ornamental fishpond.
