The Seaton care home is an elegant Georgian building which is just a stone’s throw from the pedestrianised town centre and seafront of this genteel East Devon town.

The home provides a high standard of general nursing, dementia and residential care, including respite and rehabilitation, both for older people and younger adults with debilitating conditions.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

The Seaton is working within the government guidelines to help protect its staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

We take immense pride in being an essential part of life in the close-knit community of Seaton.

Families and friends of current and former residents play a key role in this – and we encourage them to think of the Seaton as being a home from home.

We aim to play a full role in the life of the community – and we respect our neighbours.

One example of this is Bonfire Night where we have a quiet celebration rather than a firework display. This is to protect residents who may still be traumatized from their time serving their county in the armed forces. We are also mindful of the local cats and dogs who may be upset by the bangs and flashes.

But we always look forward to welcoming people in  – whether this is to enjoy a vintage afternoon tea, or a Christmas fair.
