Meet The Manager

Amy Doyle is Acting General Manager at The Spires.

Hi, my name is Amy and I am General Manager here at The Spires. I have worked in the care sector since I was 18, initially with young adults with learning disabilities, before specialising in elderly care. I am passionate about improving the lives of our residents and making sure they live life to the fullest. We are very lucky at The Spires to have a fantastic team of people who are dedicated to our residents. We value training and developing our staff to help our residents have a full and exciting life.

Please do pop in and meet the team.

Amy Doyle

The Spires has been specifically designed to provide high-quality residential care to older people, including those individuals living with dementia. The home is located close to Lichfield's city centre, with easy commuter links to the surrounding local villages, such as Upper and Lower Longdon, Hammerwich, Burntwood and Kings Bromley to name a few.

This 70 bed home in Lichfield provides residential care in a warm, homely and friendly environment. Our team of qualified and dedicated staff focus on the individual needs of residents and are committed to providing professional and respectful care with the residents at the heart of everything they do.

The home has a dedicated area, which we call our Memory Lane Community. This provides high-quality care for people with living dementia. Within our community, memory boxes with small reminders and items such as photographs are used to help each person reminisce. Features such as adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens with low risk walkways and activity kitchens also enables people to engage in life's everyday simple tasks and pleasures. Essential to our homely feel is the enhanced relationship of trust we build with family, friends and residents.

Our luxurious facilities combined with highly trained staff ensures that each and every individual is given superior attention. Our 24-hour care is provided in a warm, welcoming environment, with delicious meals and daily activities, including a choice of therapeutic approaches. Together with our lively social calendar, this helps to stimulate residents' minds, and empowers them to approach their future in a positive way.

    Activities Are So Important

    Activities at The Spires

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

All group and individual activity is designed to not only mentally and physically stimulate the people we care for but to enhance their life skills and feelings of purpose and self-worth.

Everyone has different interests and abilities, so what can be considered a ‘meaningful activity’ will be different for each individual.
