Julie Napier

Hungerford Care Home, in Berkshire, is located just two miles from the picturesque market town of Hungerford. Here you’ll find amenities, eateries and river walks. Nearby, enjoy the stunning scenery of the North Wessex Downs and the sites and shops of Newbury.

With 52 bedrooms offering nursing and dementia care, we think carefully about the type of room each resident needs.

Our bedrooms are set across two floors, and each wing has its own light and airy lounge and dining room with views of the gardens, meaning peace and tranquillity is never far away. We also have a multi-sensory room, which provides a relaxing space for those with sensory impairment. All furnishings and decor throughout the home are of an exceptionally high standard.

We also have a well-maintained garden and greenhouse with wheelchair access. There is a mature orchard, sheltered seating area and secure sensory garden suitable for residents with dementia.

Description

With 52 bedrooms offering nursing and dementia care, we think carefully about the type of room each resident needs. Many of our rooms are en-suite and there are bath and shower rooms in each wing for residents to use with or without assistance.

We understand that moving into Hungerford will be a considerable transition, but one we try to make feel as easy as possible. Your room is your own personal space, which is why we encourage you to personalise it if you like, by hanging your favourite pictures or bringing small pieces of furniture.

We encourage people to make the rooms their own. Quite a few of our residents will ask us to take out pieces of our furniture to make room for some of their own from home. The choice is yours.
