Meet The Manager

Jenna Button is The Registered Manager at Trevaylor Manor.

Hi, I’m Jenna and I have worked within Trevaylor Manor since 2006. I was originally employed as a newly qualified staff nurse and later on in my career I progressed to the Head of Care role and have been in this role since 2015. I have been proud to dedicate my career, goals and ambitions to Trevaylor Manor, so we can lead change and become a home of comfort, safety and dignity for the people for whom we care.

Our home specialises in Dementia Care, which is an area of nursing I am extremely passionate about. It is incredibly important to support the individuals in our home to maintain levels of everyday living that ensures they can achieve a good quality of life within different stages of their dementia, that they may not be able to achieve without the support of our staff. It is our role to provide a home and a community not only for the people we care for but for their families and loved ones also. Our residents are at the heart of our home.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Infection Screening We are using technology to screen for infections & monitor symptoms.
safe-tick Regulatory Assessment We have been assessed by the care regulator in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Sterilisation & Disinfection Devices We are using sterilisation and/or disinfection devices within our care setting.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Safe Visiting Space
safe-tick We have a safe visiting space

We are currently investing in additional Safe Visiting Facilities in our home, however where we are able to safely facilitate visits, the following considerations and precautions will be taken into account;

  • Alternatives to in-person visiting will be actively encouraged (use of telephones or video)
  • Visitors will be limited to a single constant visitor per resident
  • Wherever possible visits will be facilitated within areas external to the home, such as the garden or grounds with the required PPE and social distancing in place. Where this is not possible we will seek to provide a designated area within the home to facilitate visits, again with the requirement of PPE and the observance of social distancing
  • In-room visits will only be facilitated in relation to essential and compassionate (end of life) visits
  • Visitors will be required to book their visit in advance, ad-hoc visits will not be allowed
  • In line with track and trace guidance, the Care Home will maintain a record of all visitors to the premises, all visitors will be required to complete a screening questionnaire prior to visiting and should not attempt to visit if they are experiencing or have experienced Covid-19 related symptoms in the last 7 days or had contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  • All visitors will agree to have no contact with any resident other than the resident they are visiting and will have minimal contact with care home staff. (Where conversation or discussion is required with staff this can be arranged over the phone following or prior to an in-person visit)
  • Visitors will be reminded and provided with facilities to wash their hands for 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser on entering or leaving the home
  • Visitors will be provided with PPE (Mask, apron and gloves) and be required to wear these for the duration of the visit

Visitors are asked to refrain from bringing with them gifts or items of food or

safe visiting space
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
