Meet The Manager

Rebecca Stephenson

The home was purpose built in 1992 and purchased by Ashmere in 1997. The property was extended in 2008. It has 61 bedrooms, 59 single rooms, 51 of which benefit from en-suite facilities. There are also 2 double rooms, 2 with en-suite available. The home is currently being refurbished, and now offers premium rooms, offering the highest quality of decor and comfort.

Valley Lodge’s dementia household is devoted to the care of residents with dementia, called Valley Views. This was awarded the Derbyshire County Council Dementia Standard Award in 2015, the first home to receive the award. Our specialist household provides a safe and secure environment with only twelve residents, allowing the very best care to be delivered by staff. We have the same staff in the unit to ensure our residents always see a familiar face.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
