Laura Callan is Care Home Manager at Victoria Care Home.
You’ll find Victoria Care Home in a lovely small village of Rainford. We are close to local shops and public transport, making us easily accessible for visitors to pop-in for a chat.
Our Care team offers residential care for those who need help with daily tasks, nursing care for people who have complex medical needs, and respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break. We also provide both residential dementia care and 24-hour nursing dementia care for residents who require it.
We also have a close network with both churches and local schools, who often come along and visit our residents, and always put a smile on their faces.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
Another aspect of helping our residents to feel at home is for them to do familiar things. If they had a hobby or pastime they did before they arrived, we’ll encourage them to continue it with us. Or perhaps they may like to learn something new. The important thing is that we treat every resident as an individual. If they enjoy sharing time with others, either in our home or on an organised trip out, they’re most welcome. Or, if they prefer quiet time alone, we’ll respect that too. |
