Meet The Manager

Amanda Thackery is Manager at Waterfield House.

I have worked at Waterfield since 2011, working my way up from Care Assistant.

As a Home Manager, I aim to be visible, approachable and a good mentor. I strive to enable all residents' care journeys to be as dignified as possible. I always encourage my team to perform to their very best ability, whilst also allowing them to learn and reflect. I find it important to build a good rapport with residents, staff, relatives, and professionals.

Please feel free to approach me anytime. My door will always be open.

We are also proud to offer a dedicated area for dementia care, designed to enable residents to maintain their independence in a safe and protected environment. Being completely access-friendly to all mobility levels, including wheelchair users, residents can feel confident of being able to enjoy the freedom to go where they like in safety.
