Meet The Manager

Diane Kehoe is Manager at West View.

Diane joined the team in July 2023. She is an experienced nurse and Residential/Nursing Home Manager who is passionate about family orientated care environments where everyone feels safe, nurtured, and valued. She believes that it is just as important to look after resident’s emotions as it is their physical being and has lots of exciting ideas!

Diane Kehoe

West View was established as a family-run home in 1977 and it's owners remain very involved with the service.  It has always respected the uniqueness of every individual and still offer a wide variety of accommodation and service options.

More recently the home has further evolved and is now truly person centred. It has been split into two seperate 'households' Wren and Robin and has become a specialist home for those with dementia. Having adopted the Butterfly Model of Care we live as a family would in each household and any feeling of institution has disappeared. For example, we have a kitchen area in both sides of the home and we do not wear unforms so any feeling of 'us and them' no longer exists. We all eat together and chat, laugh and have fun together. The home is fresh and very clean and we encourage open access to the beautiful garden.

Our home is now unique and it is decorated so there is always something to look at and to encourage reminiscence and conversation.

Our Building and Facilities

We invest a lot of time in ensuring West View is a safe and enjoyable place to call home. From individually styled communal areas, including a 1960s music room, to our picturesque gardens, we continually care for and improve each part of our special home. There is level access throughout the property and gardens, with a unique glass-walled lift to help residents access the upper floor.

We aim to meet the needs of our residents by having open access to the community and are well-suited to individuals who would like to enjoy activities inside and outside of the care home. Keeping in touch with loved ones is of the utmost importance and so we have installed wifi throughout the home, interactive TVs with Netflix & YouTube and computer access points.
