Meet The Manager

Magdalena Kuffel is Home Manager at Wilhelmina House.

I have always had a passion for working with older people as I believe I can contribute and make a meaningful difference to their lives.

I started as a Care Assistant and I was supported to progress my career to Deputy Manager. Wilhelmina House, residents and staff alike are like a family to me.

Magdalena Kuffel

Wilhelmina House is our purpose-built respite care and residential care home in Croydon  Our elderly residents spend much of their time enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the beautifully kept garden, walking the grounds, sitting on the terrace, or in the garden rooms at the back of the building.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

At Wilhelmina House, we have a dedicated activities team who ensures that every person we care for gets some one-on-one time doing something they want to do – whether that’s playing backgammon or doing the crossword together. We also run daily group activities, like movie days and group games.

And there are plenty of opportunities to get out and about, with regular day trips organised as well as visits to and from the schools and other care settings within the John Whitgift Foundation family.
