Alison Peppard is Registered Manager at Arthurs Court Care Home.
A dedicated manager with over 15 years of experience in mental health, social services, and criminal justice. My expertise includes working with individuals with learning difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorders in both residential and community settings.
Highly trained in diagnosing and treating mental illness and am a compassionate, solutions-oriented leader committed to developing exceptional support plans for those facing substance abuse and mental health challenges. I excel at building and motivating dynamic teams, fostering a culture where staff feel empowered to share ideas and voice concerns.
My background encompasses operations, project and risk management, as well as health and safety protocols. As an enthusiastic team player, I prioritise process improvements and staff development. My strong interpersonal skills have facilitated successful business partnerships, creating a positive work environment that drives growth.
At Arthur’s Court, we can provide nursing, palliative and residential care for the older people in a homely atmosphere. The dignity, independence, personal choices and wishes of residents are our number one priority. We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups.
We aim to empower residents to make their own choices about how they live their lives.
We believe that every individual irrespective of their physical, social or psychological condition has the right to be treated with dignity and respect and supported to maintain choice and control over their own lives.
We understand that people bring with them a life story of achievements, events and life experiences. We know that this information is essential to ensure a tailored care package for each individual’s specific needs, particularly for those with memory loss.
We ensure that our person-centred assessments are all tailored to the whole person and we will look at what people can do, not just what they need assistance with. Most importantly we ensure that the individual themselves and their loved ones help us to put together a bespoke plan of care. We appreciate how difficult the decision is to move into permanent or even short stay care and we aim to make this transition as easy as possible.
