Kelly Gough is The Home Manager at Pendle Brook Care Home.
Kelly has worked in social care for over 17 years. She started off as a care assistant in a nursing home and worked her way up, from being a care assistant she became a senior before moving on to become a unit manager then finally a home manager.
Kelly has completed her NVQ2, NVQ3, Level 3 in management and Level 5 in management.
Oswaldtwistle is Kelly's home town meaning she's 'only a couple of minutes away should the staff/home need me'.
Pendle Brook is a specialist residential and residential dementia care home based in the small town of Oswaldtwistle on the border of Accrington. Purpose-built with special consideration to those living with dementia, our care home is spacious yet warm and welcoming and has been specifically designed to minimise the stress and confusion often associated with dementia. For example, the wide corridors and abundant communal areas make it easy to stroll around and enjoy the space, while intentional use of colour and pictures aids orientation.
The home is perfectly situated within the local Oswaldtwistle community, with just a short walk to local pubs, the Civic Arts Centre and Theatre, Rhyddings Park, the famous Oswaldtwistle Mills shopping village and garden centre… and a rather tempting fish and chip shop! There is also a bus stop just outside the home for trips further afield.
