My name is Janine Drake, I have worked within the healthcare sector in a variety of roles from the pharmaceutical industry, activity coordinator and my current role as administrator and finance. I feel this role encompasses all the skills that I have acquired and I still get to be hands on with the residents and their families.

The Old Vicarage Care Home is situated in an attractive residential area in the village of Freckleton in Lancashire, The Old Vicarage is a well-established home providing high quality, short and long-term care for up to 35 elderly ladies and gentlemen.

Private telephones are available upon request and residents are encouraged to bring small items of furniture to personalise their room. A number of the rooms enjoy stunning views over the delightful gardens, which are fully wheelchair accessible and feature raised flowerbeds and a furnished seating area to enjoy the picturesque surroundings.

Activities Are So Important

Daily activities play an integral part in life at The Old Vicarage care home and whether socialising as part of a group or exploring a new personal interest, our dedicated Activities Coordinator works closely with our residents to organise a range of opportunities.

Musical performances, games afternoons and local outings are just a few of the regular activities on offer. Mealtimes are an important part of the day and our chef works hard to provide a variety of freshly prepared, tasty and nutritious dishes to suit our residents’ preferences, catering for special dietary needs as required. We welcome family and friends at any time and value the contribution they make to the friendly atmosphere at the home.

We also have a wide range of services on offer, ensuring that however our residents wish to spend their time, they can do so in comfort. Nothing is too much trouble for our highly skilled staff team and our flexible, personalised approach towards the care we provide ensures that a stay at The Old Vicarage care home is a unique and special experience.
