Lesley Page is Registered Manager at SESNHA Care.
I have been in the care industry since leaving school. I trained as a stated registered nurse in 1976 and continued to do this until I had my first child.
I left nursing to undertake the challenge of being part of the birth of domiciliary care. I started my journey from carer and worked my way up the ladder in different care organisations. Since working for Sesnha since 2004 I started as a duty manager/ coordinator, I have progressed to manager , office manager and now registered manager.
Through the years I have complete my NVQ2, Apprenticeship NVQ3 and now I'm half way through completing my HABC level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult care.
Thus allowing me to enhance my skill in the care industry
Sesnha care started on the 31st March 1988.
Starting with residential care for the disabled and learning difficulties, we progressed into domiciliary homecare in 1992.
Since then the organization has positively impacted the lives of countless individuals in South and West Essex over its many years of operation.
Today we provide care to more then 200 Service users from our operating branch in Basildon and employ more than 120 care workers and office staff across operating areas in Essex.
Our services consist of provision of personal care to the elderly and our suite of tailored services also includes specialist care to those with dementia, learning disabilities and mental health.
We are committed to honesty, transparency and providing clear information to our service users and their families to enable them to have choice and control of their care. We do this with a Birdie system, which allows family members to see the care being provided to their love ones in real time. We provide regular monitoring of both service users and care staff which allows regular feedback to ensure person centered care.
Sesnha Care continuously strives to enhance its services by providing all care staff with up to date training, and all care staff work towards their care certificate with a two week induction training to cover their 15 standards, which includes class work and research on the internet. This also includes practical work and shadow training, to ensure continual improvements to the service we are providing and a comprehensive approach to ensuring that care staff are well-prepared and equipped to provide high-quality, person-centered care.
All staff wear a uniform with the Sesnha Care logo, so they can be easily identified.
We understand and support the Governments commitment to help people maintain their independence as long as possible in a way that respects their dignity and respect.
