What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
Collaborative working is fundamental to providing effective care, we have a close professional working relationships with our GP, TVN’s, SALT, Dieticians, CHAT, OT, Dentist, Chiropodist, Optician. We believe that professionals working together can share knowledge, experience, and help growth and development. We hold MDT meetings with the GP each month where we look at each resident, their needs and medication reviews. Maintaining good professional relationships is imperative with other health care professionals, but also the resident and family members are involved in-order to get the right outcome for the resident. Integrated care is about taking a person-centred approach so that care and support is coordinated so all those providing care, work together to help residents achieve what is important to them. This COVID19 Pandemic has shown us how useful it is to work together as a team As new initiatives we have been using WHZAM to coordinate care and escalate any changes in care needs that may require additional input. The home won an award for The Best Home in the category for New Technology and how it can improve the quality of care for its residents. Standard infection prevention is maintained daily which includes hand hygiene, use of gloves and disposal, safe handling of waste, safe handling of soiled linen, safe handling of sharps, environmental cleaning. We have regular infection prevention training We complete Infection control Audits. We continue to support the inhouse infection control policy and procedure and this incorporates the COVID 19 protocols. As we move through the pandemic the challenges we face with the associated viruses that are seasonal are covered within our training and practice. |
