Our dedicated team at Barony Lodge Residential Care Home provides residential care, dementia care and short-term respite care breaks.

With a very special warm homely family feel, Barony Lodge has all the luxuries of a new care home. If you are caring for an elderly relative and need a rest yourself, our devoted team provides residential and dementia care, as well as adult respite breaks.

With spacious bedrooms complete with walk-in wet rooms, a hairdressing salon, luxury art deco cinema, a vintage tearoom, library, home-cooked food and engaging activities, Barony Lodge has so much to offer.

Barony Lodge has all the luxuries of a new care home, including a retro cinema room, which is the perfect spot to enjoy Fizzy Fridays, with a glass of fizz and a popcorn machine. And in our vintage tearoom, our residents can enjoy each other’s company with a cup of coffee and homemade cakes and cookies. In addition, we have transformed part of this room into a reminiscence corner, filled with nostalgic items such as an antique tea trolley and fine china.

Our beautiful hair salon, complete with a nail bar and traditional hood dryers is very popular. Our team also treat our residents to pamper sessions, including manicures and hand massages.

The home is a short walk from Nantwich’s cafés and shops, with wheelchair-friendly pathways along the banks of the River Weaver.

Our Building and Facilities

The home, which has under floor heating throughout, has some really special features too. The walls of the luxury retro cinema room are filled with photographs of movie legends, clapper boards and film reels. As well as watching their favourite classics, the residents also enjoy Fizzy Fridays here with a glass of fizz or a cocktail, with cheese, crackers and other nibbles.

There is a boutique gift shop, which is part of Gifts For Me & You (GFMY), filled with everything from pictures and candles, to scarves and jewellery crafted by artists local to Nantwich and the wider Cheshire East area.

Nantwich’s Barony Lodge also has its own hair and beauty salon, with a nail bar and authentic hood hairdryers. There is a visiting mobile hairdresser and our residents can also book appointments here with private beauty professionals if they wish. Or if someone fancies a manicure without an appointment, our team are always happy to oblige!

The library is decorated with wooden effect panelled paper and again has luxury seating so residents can sit back and relax with a good book. Then there is a vintage café, with Cath Kidston style decorations, bunting, pretty table cloths and vintage crockery. The residents decided they would like a ping pong table, so our beautiful café doubles up as a venue for some highly competitive tournaments!

The care home also has a Namaste room, an area which promotes a holistic approach to enhancing spiritual well-being. Staff will treat residents to hand massages, while listening to relaxing music. There are salt lamps and diffusers in a room designed for sensory stimulation.

The sun lounge overlooks the gardens and has a miniature greenhouse where our residents have grown their own cabbages and broccoli from seed. With a garden themed wall with a picturesque water feature and beautiful flowers, green wooden panelling a rattan style seating, this room is a tranquil retreat.

The team at Barony Lodge also have a close partnership with the Cheshire East End of Life Partnership.

Youngsters from Reaseheath College in Nantwich often pop by for a visit. The agricultural students always get the warmest welcome from our residents, who really enjoy seeing these fresh faces.

We have also recently been working with Inner Trust Stepping Stone of Life, who is funded by Cheshire East Council to deliver monthly music therapy and reminiscence sessions to our residents.
