Josephine Mollison is General Manager at Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Josephine started her career at working at our Belong Crewe village. Her expertise in leadership and mentoring meant she quickly developed into the role of Senior Support Worker and then Lead Senior Support Worker.
Her passion for caring for and supporting people living with Dementia resulted in her contribution to the village's success in achieving the rating of ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.
Josephine has supported various Belong villages in Lead Support roles over the past couple of years before being appointed Support Manager at Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme.
She holds a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care and was given the Dementia Champion Award at Belong's 2020 Champion Awards ceremony.
Josephine strives to champion person-centred care, high standards of quality care, and positive well-being.
The Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme care home provides 24-hour nursing and dementia care for 72 residents in six households, 28 apartments for independent living, and a range of community facilities.
Belong households represent a radically different alternative to conventional care homes. With a maximum of 12 residents per household, they provide a family atmosphere where people can build lasting relationships with staff and other residents.
