Meet The Manager

Gemma Vaughan is Home Manager at Bentley Manor Care Home.

Hello, my name is Gemma,

I am the Home Manager at Bentley Manor Care Home.

I began working in the care sector in 2002.

I joined Bentley Manor in 2010 as a Senior Care Assistant on the Dementia Unit. I developed my skills and knowledge to become a Care Home Assistant Practitioner. This gave me experience with in the management role. I completed a level 5 in Leadership and Management to become Deputy Manager.

I am so happy to bring my knowledge and skills to Bentley Manor and learn from the wonderful team. I have a passion for developing staff to reach their full potential.

Bentley Manor and those who live here are as much in our hearts as those who love them, we will always strive for the best for our residents, families and our team.

Gemma Vaughan

Welcome to Bentley Manor Care Home located just north of Crewe town centre. The home is ideally placed for the local community and those coming from Leighton Hospital and the surrounding areas. This very popular purpose built care home is spacious and modern and provides residential and nursing care and as well as care for those who suffer the impact of dementia on their lives and other mental health issues.

The well trained, experienced and dedicated team are able to ensure such high levels of care because of the individual, tailor made care plans which are written in order to ensure that every detail of an individual’s care is recorded. Such ‘person centeredness’ is how the home achieves its high standards of quality of care. The value of such an approach cannot be understated.

Home cooked menus are on offer to residents and their visitors. Meals are cooked by our own chefs at the home, with resident favourite meals reflected in menu choices. Start the day with a cooked breakfast if you wish, or be tempted with traditional meals and desserts. Good food is very important and our chefs enjoy tempting residents to eat and drink well.

Activities Are So Important

It is important that our residents still feel part of the wider community and our teams ensure this is a priority by organising trips out to local groups, clubs, sights or just going down to the local pub for a pint. We also invite local groups, schools and places of worship and entertainers into our homes.

At Bentley Manor Care Home, our Lifestyle team members work hard to ensure our residents individual needs are met. Uncovering and capturing individual resident hobbies and interests, as well as resident life histories, is an essential element of success in providing personalised daily activities which residents will enjoy. Individual activities for residents are of great importance – letter writing, video calls with family members, attending churches and continuing long standing attendance at community groups and clubs can all be supported and achieved with the help of our Lifestyle team.
