What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

Our approach to care is a truly holistic one, always intending to nurture your loved one’s mind, body and spirit. This comes as part of our promise to you and our residents, to help them genuinely live a better, more fulfilled life.

It’s about respecting their individual needs, listening and understanding, and presenting them with opportunities and daily activities to keep their minds and bodies active.

Whether they flourish in a lively group activity or prefer to recharge in the peaceful surroundings of one of our quiet spaces, our home is brimming with inspiration and potential.

We support everybody’s individual choices, interests and hobbies and our passionate Activity Coordinators love keeping residents active and entertained. They provide a fun-packed and stimulating schedule for people to participate in as they choose. There are arts and crafts, bingo, baking, regular trips out, external entertainers, and church services, just to mention a few of the things we get up to.

Music Therapy:

At Mapplewell Manor our music therapists interact with residents through singalongs, playing simple percussion instruments and responding to musical cues in either a one-to-one or group setting. These sessions often prove to be truly life-enhancing, helping people unlock special memories and express their feelings and emotions.
