Meet The Manager

Michaela Martin is The Home Manager at The Grange.

“Michaela has been at The Grange for ten years and is passionate about person centred care and great team spirit. A very hands on person who believes in working with all her staff to achieve the best for all the residents.

Outside the home Michaela is an avid Leeds United fan and has four cats.”

Situated in North Yorkshire in the historic market town of Selby, The Grange Care Centre is a large Victorian House with its own grounds. It has since been restored, refurbished and redecorated, but many of the original features (including ornate covings and stained glass windows) have been retained, giving the unique building its own charm and character.

The Grange has an activities co-ordinator who organises a wide range of sessions for the residents, from fun games to regular visits from local school children, which offers rewarding inter-generational socialisation between the two groups. There are many hidden treasures in the town of Selby, including the canal, Jorvik Theatre and Arts Centre, the magnificent Abbey, Selby Park and the Holy Trinity Church.
