Maggie Ziemianska is Home Manager at Manor Lodge.
I joined Care UK and Manor Lodge 5 years ago as the Deputy Manager, where I joined because of Care UK’s incredible values which align with my personal values.
I love leading my team to work cohesively and help develop them to deliver outstanding and person-centred care.
Care UK has an excellent reputation nationwide, and I love the way they promote personal and professional growth of the colleagues. Since being with Care UK one of my biggest achievements Is receiving a Deputy Manager of the year award for all my hard work.
As a Home manager, I believe it’s important to be honest, have integrity, empathy and being able to self-reflect and use every opportunity to learn, improve and develop. It’s also important to have great communication and listening skills and be a team player.
Manor Lodge is a modern and welcoming purpose-built care home in Chelmsford that delivers permanent and respite nursing, residential and dementia care.
The home has fantastic facilities, including a café, cinema, hair salon and a little shop. It also has an in-house physiotherapy room. Through a combination of nursing care and support from a physiotherapist, the team has helped to transform many residents' lives, enabling them to regain their mobility and independence.
When a new resident joins Manor Lodge, the team gets to know them extremely well so they can create care and lifestyle plans that are personalised to their needs, wishes and preferences. They also support residents to enjoy meaningful activities and experiences every day.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
