I have been the registered Home Manager at Karuna Manor since November 2022, previously I was the Hotel Services Manager for the home.
Over the past 17 years I have worked as a Physiotherapist and Deputy Manager with residents, families, loved ones and the wider community to promote a sense of belonging.
I am pleased to be leading an exceptional team who are dedicated to delivering excellent person-centred care and we are proud to be rated Good in all areas by CQC. I have a vast experience in clinical care, with the last 25 years specialising in elderly care. I am passionate about supporting my team members and I am most fulfilled when I enjoy spending time with our residents who love to enjoy a chat and a chuckle.
Karuna Manor is an exceptional luxury home offering expert and experienced residential, nursing and dementia care. For residents requiring a little assistance day to day, to others who benefit from more support or help, the dedicated care team, comprising of carers, nurses, hospitality and wellbeing team members, are at the heart of ensuring every resident is cared for in a way best suited to them.
With individual care creating a feeling of being at home and led by an experienced and established management team, the care and wellbeing team focus on maintaining lifestyle choices to support residents to enjoy fulfilling and stimulating lives with care and support to retain and promote choice, personal preferences and independence.
The home caters specifically for the vegetarian community, with award-winning in-house chefs freshly preparing delicious Gujarati food offering a range of choice throughout.
Good communication is at the heart of providing great care, so as well as English, Gujarati and Hindi are also spoken at the home.
