Nicole Benn is Operations Manager at Boroughbridge Manor and Lodge Care Home.
Hello. My name is Nicole, and I am the Operations Manager here at Boroughbridge Manor. Welcome to our website.
My aim is to ensure residents, staff, families and visitors all feel they are in a caring, welcoming environment and being supported by every member of our team.
I began my career as a Carer at the age of 18 and have gained experience and qualifications holding my Diploma Level 7 within management to progress to my current role. Barchester has a high standard of care and superior lifestyle delivered throughout the company, and I endeavour to deliver those same values in our home.
Boroughbridge Manor Care Home is nestled in a friendly North Yorkshire community, and is ideally situated for access to the A1 and local amenities. At Boroughbridge Manor, we provide a range of accommodation and services for older people in need of support, from respite care to 24-hour residential care.
We also provide specialist support for individuals living with dementia in our bespoke Memory Lane Community, where care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person centred approach. We have also invested in a 'Magic Table' for our home, an interactive light projector designed to support people living with dementia through mentally and physically stimulating games.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. Activities Are So Important |
---|
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire. |
