Meet The Manager

Christopher Donlon is The Home Manager at The Willows.

The Willows is purpose-built care home, registered to provide care for the elderly and those with dementia. The Home has been built to a very high specification and includes many new and modern facilities, such as a coffee shop and cinema room. At the rear of the Home is a beautiful professionally landscaped garden, and there is also a tranquil and relaxing courtyard situated in the middle of the Home, and accessible to all. The Willows is a located in the beautiful town of Ipswich, in Suffolk, and is a 5 minute drive from the town centre. There is lots to explore in the historic heart of the town, and the stunning waterfront.

Our aim as a home is to bring a home to home feeling to all our residents current and new.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Our residents are tested every 28days. If our residents show any signs or symptoms they are isolating in there rooms, regular checks.

All staff are wearing full PPE, and change it regularly. 

Our Staff test everyday before attending shift.

Visitors are advised not to attend the home, during an outbreak. 

Special circumstances for any residents who are on end of life care.

Our Building and Facilities

The home has been built to a very high standard, with a range of wonderful services included. We have a salon built and designed especially for the elderly, along with a coffee shop and cinema – all for the residents to enjoy. There are a number of lounges and dining areas that the residents can use, as well as a library and courtyard.

The home is set in large grounds, and the gardens are fully secured for peace of mind. We have special rooms dedicated to activities to keep the residents occupied and enjoying their time.

Description

We have accommodation for 66 residents in beautifully decorated single rooms, all with en-suites. All bedrooms and communal areas are fitted with a nurse-call system and smoke alarm. All bedrooms are fully furnished, but residents are welcome to bring with them items of their own furniture by arrangement.

Activities Are So Important

We will regularly hold events and parties. In the summer we will have garden parties, Summer Fetes and barbeques, and Christmas parties at the end of the year. We hope to have many events throughout the year that residents and their families can enjoy. All of these events also help us to fundraise for our residents, which enables them to enjoy special gifts, activities, or days out.
