Jacqui Shuttleworth is General Manager at Brentwood Care Centre.
Jacqui brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise to the home, with over 30 years of experience in the Health and Social Care Sector. For over 20 years, Jacqui has been managing residential, residential dementia, nursing, and rehabilitation care settings, including almost four years as an Operations and Compliance Manager.
For Jacqui, the passion and dedication that have inspired her career since 1992 are still vibrant. “I am especially passionate about the care of people living with dementia, offering stimulating and meaningful experiences for residents and ensuring that the care they receive is the best it can be. I love the social aspect of meeting and liaising with residents and their loved ones and supporting their journey at this time of their lives. I enjoy being able to lead a team of carers and nurses to deliver high-quality care to the people living at Brentwood Care Centre.”
Situated in a pleasant residential area, Brentwood Care Centre is purpose-built and carefully designed to support our residents to live happy, fulfilled and comfortable lives.
Our team cares for our residents with the same kindness and warmth shown to members of their own family. Working closely together, they provide residential dementia care, nursing care and end of life care
Located over three floors, our home includes light and airy, open plan lounges/diners as well as spacious en-suite bedrooms, and a variety of communal spaces such as a cinema room, quiet room and a hair salon.
Our landscaped gardens are wheelchair accessible and designed to be a welcoming place for people to relax on one of the patios complete with outdoor furniture, or to enjoy a spot of light gardening.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
Supporting our residents to enjoy every day living at Brentwood Care Centre is a key focus for our dedicated team. By getting to know each person, we are able to tailor our activities and events to their personal tastes as well as activities they may like to try. No two days are the same here and, alongside our usual daily hobby-based activities, we also like to host events which are a little out of the ordinary. In addition to keeping fit with our chair-based exercises, baking, quizzes, movie afternoons and our knit and natter club, we also take great pleasure in welcoming visiting entertainers, schools, nurseries, Pets As Therapy dogs and groups to our home to enjoy spending time with our residents. Our team and residents also love pottering around the local garden centre, visiting local attractions, such as country parks and Southend seafront, and getting dressed up for our themed days throughout the year — complete with themed menus and decorations! Every month our residents also get the chance to take part in their very own special request show on a local radio station. They love choosing their favourite songs and then gather together to hear them played on the radio – where they chat about what they were up to when the songs were first released. |
