Cathy Yates is Care Home Manager at Hope House.
Our philosophy is simple; we want everyone to enjoy life to the full. We never forget that all our residents are individuals and we treat them with dignity, privacy and respect while offering freedom of choice and as much independence as possible.
I’d love to show you around the home. So if you should like a tour, or wish to discuss any aspect of your loved ones care with me, please telephone the home to make an appointment. We all understand that finding the right care home for your family member is an important decision and each of our staff are here to help you in any way possible.
Hope House is a purpose-built nursing home in Clayton Le Moors, Accrington. Situated opposite Mercer Hall Park, the home is just a stone’s throw from local shops and facilities.
With a total of 38 bedrooms, and we care for those who require general residential or nursing care.
Offering a homely environment with tastefully decorated ensuite rooms, Hope House has a conservatory which residents use as a quiet lounge, two comfortable TV lounges - one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor plus, a spacious ground floor dining room. The home also has a landscaped rear patio garden which is fully accessible.
The team at Hope House are passionate about delivering the very best of person-centred care. We gather details and information from those who know the resident best, communicating with families on a regular basis; to ensure that our care plans are up to date, and the small important finer details are recorded to reflect personal wishes.
All residents are welcome to join in with our resident programme of activities or be supported to enjoy pastimes of their own choice. Of course, we celebrate birthdays as well as other special days in the year, aside from coffee mornings, afternoon tea and active, planned social activity sessions. Resident’s friends and family members are welcome at any time and are welcome to join in the activities of the home.
Everyone at Hope House is respected as an individual and therefore we understand that everyone’s needs, and preferences are different.
Our Head Chef prepares three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce. Food is a big part of everyday life at Hope House, from the cooked breakfast that we offer, to the choice of meals at lunchtime and a teatime, with the snacks in between and supper. Our meal service is offered in our spacious dining room with menu choices offered at the table. Meals can also be served in a bedroom or lounge, wherever our residents choose to eat
