What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Gold Care Homes remains committed to ensuring all of our residents, loved ones, and hardworking members of staff are protected against the COVID-19 pandemic. All Gold Care Homes’ homes completed their second round of vaccinations. Our care homes have now begun the process of offering the booster vaccine to all residents.

The legislation makes vaccination mandatory for anyone who works in a care home, whatever their role. All care home residents will now be required to nominate up to 3 visitors who can enter the care home for regular visits. Visits must still be pre-booked, and visitors must test negative for COVID-19 at the start of the visit.

  • Safe visitor space for residents, friends, and family.
  • Staff and visitors are tested with LFT on a regular basis.
  • Staff also have their PCR test completed weekly.
  • We also ensure that the staff and visitors are always wearing their PPE and socially distant.
  • Alternative to visiting has been implemented with the use of technology.
  • Staff movement in the home is minimized.
  • Staff are up to date with IPC training.
  • Staff and residents risk assessments have been completed

Activities Are So Important

Our Activities Coordinators at Manor House in Kingstanding play a fundamental part in enhancing the lives of our residents by creating a fun and hugely varied programme for everyone to participate in.

Our range of activities is a great source of fun and laughter, and it really helps each resident live life to the full. We believe independent activity, hobbies, and day-to-day chores boost self-confidence. By taking the time to understand each resident's capabilities, we can build a personalised activity plan.

Our aim at Manor House is to create a programme that encourages interaction and enjoyment. As you’d expect, most activities are indoors. However, we make the most of our lovely outdoor patio areas and landscaped gardens when the weather permits. When our residents feel a little adventurous, we also make nationwide trips to popular landmarks!
