Sarah Jane Parkin is Care Home Manager at Kings Lodge.

King’s Lodge is run by General Manager Sarah Jane Parkin, who has been with the company since August 2019.  Sarah’s energetic and dynamic leadership has steered the home from strength to strength, evident in this recent CQC report.

Sarah says 'I have worked in care all of my adult life. I absolutely love it, and my passion shines through in my everyday work. People we look after may not always remember your face, but they will remember how you made them feel.'

Prior to working at King’s Lodge Sarah, a mental health nurse by profession, has worked in acute mental health, forensic mental health, and child and adolescent mental health.  She has a passion for care for the elderly and those living with dementia.  Sarah has worked for various local providers, and has specialist skills that lie with commissioning new services and improving standards for care.

Description

Our spacious care suites are available for both couples and individuals, giving peace of mind and a sense of independent living whilst still being part of a fully supportive care environment.

Set within our beautiful care home, our care suites all have one bedroom, a separate sitting room, with an attached kitchenette, and a large en-suite bathroom. All suites can be furnished or unfurnished and come with the full range of care services and benefits.


You are able to bring in your own furniture, ornaments, and pictures to decorate your room as you like. A member of the team may have to discuss this with you if it poses any Health and Safety risk such as limiting access or movement around your room, furniture not meeting Fire Regulations. Our Maintenance team will assist you to move your property in and with any hanging of pictures.

Kings Lodge Care Home works around the clock to make residents feel loved and special no matter what stage of life they are in. From bespoke activities and clubs created with the resident’s hobbies and interests at heart, alongside luxury features such as a Cinema, Hairdressers and a Retreat Room, residents have a range of exciting things to choose from each and every day. Whether it be a walk in the 15 acres of beautiful woodland, or relaxing in our Retreat Room, there is plenty to do and entertain and there is never a dull day! Aura Care Living also celebrates before Christmas with their Wishing Tree and strive to make everyone’s wishes and dreams come true.
