Meet The Manager

Rares Pop is The Home Manager at Brunel House.

Hello, my name is Rares, I have been the Home Manager at Brunel House since February 2022. As Home Manager I find it extremely satisfying to help better the lives of those in need of assistance. I have worked for Maria Mallaband since 2016, working my way from care assistant to Deputy Manager and then to Home Manager. This has given me a well-rounded appreciation of the hard work and dedication needed to ensure that all care is delivered in a dignified and safe environment.

Brunel House is located right in the heart of the village of Box surrounded by the stunning Box Valley.

There are lots of local facilities on the doorstep such as a GP, café, pubs, post office and village shop. The home benefits from onsite parking and excellent transport links with the bustling market towns of Corsham and Chippenham within easy reach and the Georgian city of Bath only five miles away.

All rooms are spacious, with full en-suite facilities and most have garden views. The home boasts a café, quiet lounges, spacious dining rooms, cinema room & hair salon.  Although elegant, Brunel House offers a real home from home,  providing the highest levels of nursing, dementia and residential care and support in a cosy and welcoming setting.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
