We also discuss in staff meetings, Health, and safety meetings. We follow current COVID 19 Guidance for care homes When residents are showing signs of Covid infection they remain in their bedroom and staff barrier nurse until isolation period is completed. All infections within the home or of concern within the community are discussed in our daily meetings. This information is shared with relevant departments to reduce the risk of transmission and to maintain good practice. A fogging machine was purchased to enhance effective and robust cleaning. Our dedicated housekeeping team have a robust daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning Schedules. We complete monthly infection control Audits. If required, we liaise with the infection control team if we require advise or further guidance. We actively share any IPC updates. Infection control policies are also available to staff. The person in charge carries out daily walk round and discusses any concerns with staff at the daily meeting to ensure that they are actioned.
