Paula Jefford is Manager at Sutton Court.

Paula has been in care for 20 years having worked her up the care seniority ladder. She is highly qualified having achieved her level 7 in health and social care. Paula has been with Ashmere for over ten years and believes in the importance of outdoor space and pet friendly homes for our residents.

Sutton Court Care Home in Sutton-in-Ashfield is set in beautifully landscaped gardens and has an enclosed inner sensory courtyard specifically designed for relaxation. Residents and families can enjoy peace and security in this courtyard, which features a large aviary and allows our pet Rabbits and Guinea Pigs to roam freely.

Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible but are assisted where difficulties occur, ensuring their privacy and dignity are always respected.

Sutton Court Residential Care Home was built in 1998 and is registered to care for fifty-nine people. 

It was purpose-built to provide a luxurious, spacious environment where care can be practised effectively within a relaxing and social atmosphere. 


The home is furnished to a high standard, with all bedrooms at least 12 square meters. We have communal lounges and several smaller areas where residents may go when they require privacy. The home offers a mix of standard ensuite, double, and deluxe rooms.

A show bedroom is located on the first floor of Sutton Court. Here, residents can view a wide range of carpets, paints, soft furnishings, fabrics, and furniture that they can choose from should they decide to take a room on a long-term basis. Our full-time receptionist is always on hand to assist with design choices.
