Meet The Manager
Kirsty Jones is Home Manager at Holmer Care Home with Nursing.
A Nurse of over 35yrs experience Trained at Worcester School of Nursing. I have worked in a variety of settings including Major Injuries and Cardiac transplant. I have worked as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, Home Manager and Area Manager in the Elderly Care Sector for the past 10 yrs. In all of this time there has never been a single day when I have not looked forward to coming to work and I truly feel so lucky to be doing a job that I love so much. Being able to comfort people and help them feel safe and Loved is what I go to work to do.
More recently I have studied the Psychology of Health and Social Care management, and this has enabled me to grow and bond a team of staff so that hopefully they enjoy their job as much as I do mine. A smiling happy joyful team enriches our residents’ lives and it is feeling you should get as soon as you open the front door of any care facility.

At Holmer Manor we strive to make each resident as comfortable as possible at all times with our high-quality elder care and first-class accommodation. Our accommodation is spacious, bright and fully furnished. The majority of our rooms include en-suites, many of which wet-rooms, and are easily accessible for both residents and carers. Televisions and telephone points are included in each room, alongside everything you could possibly need to live comfortably. We understand that some residents will enjoy spending time alone and we have furnished each bedroom to a high standard. We encourage all residents to bring small pieces of furniture, ornaments and photographs with them to make their new rooms a more personal and familiar place. |

Holmer Manor has a dedicated activity coordinator that runs a variety of activity workshops throughout the day including specialist dementia care activities. Our activity coordinator works closely with our residents to come up with activities that residents will enjoy. Some popular activities include baking, games, arts and crafts, pampering, quizzes and gardening. Holmer Manor has close relationships with many people who visit our residents regularly to entertain, provide beauty and holistic treatments and to provide loving company. Animals can play a very important part in maximising wellbeing and a very popular visitor is a specialist therapy dog. Hairdressers, aromatherapists, entertainers and volunteers also visit Holmer Manor on a weekly basis. We encourage each of our residents and their families to join us with any activities and visit whenever is suitable. |
