Originally hailing from the Philippines, Margie began her nursing career there before moving to the UK, where she's been a dedicated member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council since 2003. Rising through the ranks from Staff Nurse to General Manager, Margie holds a NVQ 5 in Leadership and Management, showcasing her commitment to excellence.
Beyond her professional achievements, Margie is a former gymnast, regional competition winner, and accomplished dancer and singer. Her passion for people extends to all her team. She enjoys mentoring, maintaining an open-door policy, and spreading positivity wherever she goes.
Margie's love for networking aligns perfectly with her deep appreciation for older individuals' life stories, making her a compassionate and dedicated leader.

The Burlington provides hair, nail and a range of express beauty treatments for our residents to enjoy in the comfort of their own home. The home hosts a programme of varied activities and events, led by our Activities & Lifestyle team. Many activities such as arts and crafts, cake decorating, and board games take place within the hobby room. Other parts of the home host a range of events and activities, including baking, regular coffee mornings and toddler groups as well as gardening club and film matinees, to name just a few! Our dedicated Lifestyle & Activities Team organise a varied calendar of activities and events tailored to our residents’ interests. If your loved one wants to pursue a new hobby or wants to carry on doing something they truly love, we can make this happen. We also have a range of hair and beauty treatments available at our in house salon for that all important ‘me time’. Socialising and having fun is at the heart of what we do. We also understand that our residents like to enjoy some peace and quiet so there is always the opportunity to take some time out in the Reading Room and other areas around the home, not forgetting a relaxing trip to ‘The Retreat’ to unwind with a relaxing aromatherapy massage. The Burlington is well rooted within the local community and our residents enjoy visiting the local attractions that the surrounding areas has to offer. The home has strong ties with all generations both young and old and is a popular choice for its weekly coffee mornings where residents and locals join for an informal coffee, freshly baked cakes and pastries, enjoyed alongside entertainment and themed talks delivered by local speakers. Being a dementia specialist home, The Burlington, hosts the ‘Dementia Friendly Shepperton Group’ and the ‘Purple Angels’ for coffee mornings and events. We are proud to be working in partnership with these well-established groups to assist families seeking advice and support. Radio Wey (Ashford & St Peter’s hospitals Radio station) is a regular at the home, who broadcast a selection of music from different eras. The Burlington’s strong links extend to the neighbouring ‘Jubilee Church’, local community centres and the local schools who regularly entertain the residents with music and dance. Intergenerational activities are important to encourage social interaction and most importantly to have lots of laughter and fun. The Burlington hosts a regular toddler group – ‘Blooming Buds of The Burlington’ for toddlers, where they come to play and interact with the residents, creating lasting memories. |
