Our Building and Facilities

Making every moment matter is as important to us as the standard of care we deliver. Here at Avocet Court, we focus on ensuring that our residents’ needs are at the heart of everything we do. When a new resident joins us, we take some time to understand their life stories, and hobbies and learn about the important people in their lives. This helps us to support our residents in living life the way they choose, and always with laughter and love.

Our residents are encouraged to bring their personal belongings, including furniture, from home. Our maintenance team is on hand to help, by hanging pictures and photographs to create a ‘home from home’.

Activities Are So Important

Avocet Court is one of the top residential, respite, rehab, nursing, palliative, and dementia care homes, Suffolk. It is very important that our activities programmes are accessible and promote inclusivity. We continuously adapt and review programmes for the changing needs of our residents.

We are constantly striving for new and creative ways to meet the physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs of our residents – some of them even star in our brochure! Our clubs and activities include gardening, exercise classes, quizzes, and church services. We nurture links with local schools and nurseries, churches, and businesses to enhance our resident experience. We also know how to throw a good party – residents and team members can often be found dancing and singing along to live entertainment!
