Nicola French is Home Manager at Canning Court Care Home.
I’ve worked for Bupa since 2016, and have been the home manager at Canning Court since December 2021. I started working in social care as a support worker for adults with Autism and learning disabilities, which I loved. I progressed through the company and managed a service in Milton Keynes, which supported adults to live independently. After a while though, I missed the community feel of a care home, the residents and working in a team.
I live in a village just 25 minutes from the home with my husband, our son and daughter, our working cocker spaniel and 2 chickens! I love being outside, running and keeping fit and all kinds of food, but especially chocolate!
Here at Canning Court we focus exclusively on providing quality dementia care for our residents while helping to strike a balance between support and independence.
Stylish and purpose built, our home holds many modern conveniences, including underfloor heating. Residents are encouraged to bring their own possessions to add a personal touch.
With six different lounges, residents will find ample space to pursue whatever activities they desire. Be that spending time with friends and family or simply spending some quiet time alone.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
