Anna Mitchell is Home Manager at Park View Care Home with Nursing.
Anna has worked in care from the tender age of 17. At that time Anna was studying Performing Arts at college and had the ambition to make it as a dancer. That ambition was fulfilled when Anna was accepted as a Blue Coat for Haven Holidays, working at their Kent and Welsh resorts.
Long ‘out of season’ months meant Anna continued to work in care from October to March, while dancing the rest of the year. ‘I would come back to the Fylde coast and work at the care home because the manager knew I was a hard worker and always asked for me to come back to her – and I was able to gain new care qualifications every winter,’ Anna explains.
When her dancing career ended, Anna stayed in the care sector, gaining more qualifications right up to achieving a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care. The qualification facilitated her promotion to deputy manager and then home manager of her previous home – a role she remained in for 13 years.
Having been recently refurbished, Park View care home offers a warm, inviting experience with 44 bedrooms with en-suite facilities. Our nursing services cover a wide range of illnesses and disabilities.
Our primary specialism is in dementia. There are over 100 variants of dementia, and we have residents with Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Korsakoff and other types of dementia.
Unfortunately, dementia in its more advanced stages can lead to residents displaying behavioural difficulties. This is why we have specialist EMI and Dementia Units, so we can accommodate most forms of diagnosis in a safe and appropriate environment.
We are seeing growing numbers of residents with diabetes and we can help to manage that diagnosis. Preparing and cooking food from a varied nutritional menu on site is important is an advantage in caring for residents with diabetes.
Please talk to us and we will arrange a tour and have a discussion around the most appropriate care package for yours or your loved one’s illness or diagnosis.

There are various strict guidelines in place which we follow to the letter. These include the five KLOES - CQC standards, and bi-weekly LFTs for staff. The important point is that the Group provides mandatory in-house training and ongoing assessments to ensure that staff follow rules & regulations, and best practise, precisely. |

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |
---|
Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
