Nestled in the heart of Holmewood, The Gables is more than a Dementia and Residential Care Home – it’s a vibrant community, effortlessly combining traditional charm with modern elegance. With convenient access to Chesterfield, Mansfield, and Sheffield, and a stone’s throw from the M1, junction 29, we’re perfectly placed for you to enjoy the best of both worlds: a peaceful village lifestyle and the excitement of nearby cities.
At The Gables, we offer a variety of modern amenities, from our comfortable lounge and new cinema room to our in-house hair salon and sensory room. Recently refurbished and complete with new furniture, our CQC-registered home can accommodate 34 residents over the age of 65, providing personalised residential and dementia care in a homely setting.

At The Gables, our carers and residents form the heart of our vibrant community. We foster an environment of enjoyment and engagement, with a regular schedule of activities and events. From insightful talks and demonstrations led by local experts to lively performances by local entertainers, there’s always something to look forward to. Our residents play a significant role in shaping our community. Assisted by suggestions from our residents, our Wellbeing Coordinators arrange an exciting year-round programme of activities. Hobbies, from baking and painting to dancing and chess, are encouraged and enjoyed. For those with a voice to be heard, our Residents’ forum provides the perfect platform. |
