Meet The Manager

Michelle Bryant is Manager at Whitegates Retirement Home.

I have been in care for 23 years, supporting families like yours everyday. I know that choosing a care home can feel, well, a bit scary.

That’s why, at Greensleeves Care we work to make moving into care less daunting. I’m excited to show you what Whitegates has to offer.

It all starts with our 6-week no-obligation trial, so you get to try before committing longer term. Our ‘big hearts only’ approach to care means you get skill with a smile, a nice cuppa before you even realise you want one, and a joke when you need it. We think that’s all part of good caring.

Being a charity means our focus is on people, not pockets. And with our Home for Life Commitment, you’ll never be asked to leave if your funds run out. Because that’s part of good caring too.

Michelle Bryant

Whitegates Care Home in Hastings is a truly unique place to live, with a charm and character that you will not find in other care homes.  The residents are clearly happy and comfortable, they enjoy their lives and appreciate the excellent care they receive.

The care home is calming and relaxing and provides such a happy and positive environment for the residents to live and their families to visit.  In a part of the world that prides itself on its hospitality and friendliness Whitegates care home still stands out.

Our ethos of care and supporting our residents in a way that allows them to continue to make their own decisions and retain control of their lives really sets us apart.  We believe passionately that they have done this all of their lives and it is our job to make sure that they continue to do so once they move into our home.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
