Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

In line with recent Government recommendations effective from April 2022, care homes in England no longer have restrictions as to the numbers of visits per resident though we ask that you make arrangements in advance of your visit to ensure safe visiting practices can be maintained. LFT testing is no longer mandatory, though to protect the safety and wellbeing of our residents and teams, we would appreciate your support in continuing to do so. Appropriate guidance for using PPE must be followed whilst visiting.

Activities Are So Important

At Ridgeway Rise Care Home, we believe that residents should be able to make the most out of each and every day. All of our activities at Ridgeway Rise run 7 days a week, and we encourage all residents to continue doing what makes them happy, whether it’s reading a book in the garden, engaging with incredible visiting entertainers, or participating in arts & crafts sessions. We recognise that activities are crucial for enhancing physical fitness and strength, as they help to remain a high level of independence and support Activities of Daily Living (ADL).

Our Activity Coordinators create weekly diverse programmes that are motivating and accessible, from sing-alongs to baking and film afternoons. For those with memory loss, our Activities Programme includes a variety of activities and alternative therapies such as memory boxes and reminiscence. We love to celebrate special occasions with our residents, and we will always go out of our way to make sure each resident feels loved. We also organise frequent visits to popular places within Swindon and continue to develop wonderful connections with the local community.
