Meet The Manager

Comfort Chibuye is Manager at Chestnut Lodge Care Home.

I am a nurse by profession, having qualified as a nurse and midwife 30 years ago. I have a lot of experience working with the elderly in care homes as a nurse, home manager and in the Regional team and care is my passion.

I believe I have all values of the 6 Cs that underpin the culture and practice in social care. I am a bubbly and approachable person and with me, it is always service with a smile. Putting people first is my priority.

Comfort Chibuye

Chestnut Lodge Care Home is located just minutes from Bradford city centre. Our home has great transport links for visits but is also far enough out of the city to be a peaceful place. It is also located beside many local amenities, including the local primary school which we have great relations with. We have our own gardens, which our residents enjoy decorating and relaxing in.

Our ever-popular spacious and modern Chestnut Lodge Care Home is able to care for 80 residents, including those who require round the clock general nursing care and those who feel the impact of dementia on their daily lives, requiring specialist care.

The lounges and dining rooms have been beautifully decorated with residents choices in mind; residents spend a lot of time together and we want them to have homely and comfortable places to enjoy and relax in.

Daily life at Chestnut Lodge Care Home is enhanced by a ‘hidden gem’ of an enclosed garden which overflows with flowers, shrubs and raised flower beds; a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy! Many of the rooms overlook the garden and it is easily accessed by you and your loved ones.

At Chestnut Lodge Care Home, it’s care and support for residents that is at the centre of our home. Resident care plans reflect all that an individual would want and need for their care to be delivered in the way they choose, with independence and dignity as prime considerations. All care teams are dedicated to delivering the best of care to all residents and work closely with GP’s and other clinical professionals from the local area to ensure that residents are well cared for. Our team go above and beyond to ensure every resident is treated as an individual, which makes both living and working here a very special experience.
